Shortlisting your holiday rentals
If you find a self catering accommodation that you like, take a note of the reference number of the property so that If you need to search for the property on your next visit you can simply search using the reference number. This way you will go directly to the property and wont have to search through lots of properties again which will save you time.

All of our self catering holiday rentals and B&Bīs are direct from the owners. If you need to enquire into availability, pricing or would like to make a booking you can use the contact email form in the advert or contact the owner directly via telephone. Include as much information as possible within your email. If you do not get a response within a couple of days we would recommend giving the owner a call using the contact number provided.
Making a booking
You have a number of things here that you will need to check with the owner when making a booking. Generally you will be required to pay a deposit to the owner which can be anything from 10% to 50% of the rental rate of your stay. This is normally paid to the owner by bank transfer, credit card or personal cheque.
The owners will normally confirm you booking via telephone followed by either an email or in writing.
You may also be asked for a breakage deposit to be paid with the balance which would cover any damage to the property or its contents during your stay. This is normally refunded at the end of your stay minus any costs for damages incurred.
You will also need to check any cancellation terms with the owner as deposits are sometimes non refundable or there may be a sliding scale of charges . Always try to get the terms and conditions in writing from the owner.
Arrival at the property
When making your booking, make sure that you get the directions to the property, the address of your accommodation and the owners contact number. Also ask the owner how you will be receiving the keys. If the owner lives close by they may simply meet you at the property on arrival or they may just send you the keys in the post.
Problems with your holiday
The owner should always leave you with either their contact details or those of a local representative to help in the event that you have an emergency or some other issue. Also, make sure that you deal with any issues with the owner when they occur and not leave them to the end of your holiday.
Finally, Have a great time!
