Come and feel, taste, see, smell and touch the Alentejo On our property of 20 hectares (completely surrounded by coarktrees, olivetrees and many other fruittrees) we have two houses available, each with there own terrace and views. Each house is 64 m2 with large livingroom, open kitchen, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom and are suitable for 4 to 6 people each. The houses are fully fitted with modern conveniences. The Alentejo is located between Lisbon and the Algarve. The coast area’s landscape has a size of 5.100 km2; the coastline offers 160 km of unspoiled white beaches stretching from Troia to the Algarve. Monte Horizonte is located in the middle of this which makes it possible to reach completely different beaches in just a short while. The history of the area can be seen in Megalithic sites, Roman remains, Moorish relics, Medieval castles, Manueline monuments and Baroque palaces and churches. Santiago do Cacém is nowadays connected with Santiago de Compostela due to a lot of comparisons in history. But Santiago do Cacém is not only history. You can stroll through the small streets shopping or enjoy a drink on one of the many terraces. There is a huge variety of restaurants as well. The region is an idyllic spot for those seeking sun, relaxation, nature and local culture. It is also a year-round destination for fans of the great outdoors, with cycling, mountain biking, walking, horse riding, bird watching, nordic walking and water sports among the many activities available. For those of you with children the surf camps are close by where your kids could have a marvelous week. |
