Holiday Rental Cottage DescriptionThe old Distillerie' has large windows with river views and on this beautiful river island of about 2 acres on the river Charente between Cognac and Angoulême. The property is close to the riverbank with its own garden and, since it is the tip of the island and almost surrounded by water, it is perfectly secluded.Access to the house is by a private bridge and you can drive directly to the house where there is a parking space. The island enjoys outstanding scenic river view and the surrounding area is rural with some attractive small villages nearby. There is a local riverside bar and restaurant. The small town of Châteauneuf sur Charente is a 5-minute drive away. The owners live in a separate, charming house on the island. The property is not suitable for children under the age of 12 because of the proximity of the River. To ensure a fresh air atmosphere in the cottage for your arrival we have a no smoking policy. |
