Wi FI internet access and Sky TV in some rooms.A mere 15 mins from the house is one of the area's natural wonders, the deep rugged canyon of the Rio Guadalhorce, known as El Chorro. Absolutely breathtaking scenery. A little beyond El Chorro are 3 stunningly beautiful lakes bordered by pine forests. A tranquil retreat where you can swim or fish, or hire a pedalo from the lake shore. There are a selection of restaurants, some offering fantastic views. Just a 30 min drive from the house, in the picturesque village of Carratraca is the 5-star Carratraca Spa, part of the Ritz-Carlton group and offering ‘serene settings for relaxation and renewal. The historic town of Antequera is a 40 min drive from the house - Malaga and the Costa del Sol may be less than 45 minutes drive away to the south, but the unique town of Antequera feels a world away from the excesses of the kiss-me-quick coast, and provides one of the regions historical and architectural showpieces. Time Out Andalucia. If you venture to Antequera you really ought to take time to visit El Torcal and experience its pre-historic atmosphere, created by mountains that have been gnarled, serrated, splintered and fractured over 150 million years to create weird shaped rock formations. A BBQ, a moonlit walk, and howling wolves! About 35 mins from the house, on the road to Antequera, is this fascinating place, Lobo Park. Run by wolf lover, Daniel, and his team this unspoilt wildlife park is home to 4 types of wolves - European, Timber, the rare White Alaska Tundra wolves and Iberian wolves. One of the most fun things to do is go on on a ‘howl night’! The amazing cities of Granada, Seville and Cordoba are each about a 2-hour drive from the house and each one is truly worth an early start for a captivating day trip. DIRECTIONS When you leave Malaga airport take road signposted Cadiz, after just a few minutes Take the first exit off this road signposted Churriana/Alaurin/Coin A404 Head for Churriana and at the 2nd roundabout(with CHURRIANA on it) take right turn signposted Cartama.(watch for this as its easy to miss) Follow the signs for Cartama basically keep going straight. When you reach Cartama Estacion the road joins the A357 Campillos. (Take the exit immediately after Cartama Estacion as it is not signposted. This merges onto the the A357) Follow this road for a while until sign for Alora/Pizarra (right) ....turn off. This road will take you into Alora. Go through Alora heading for El Chorro (right at the main roundabout with the Arch) When you pass the last houses on your right Casa Blanca is about 2 km on this road. You will see a bus stop on the left, then a marker for 2KM, turn immediately right after this and you will see the sign for Casa Blanca. It is approx 35 - 40 mins drive.
