Holiday Rental Villa Description
Casa Blanca is a homely and traditional Spanish villa set in 15000m2 of land, with large private pool and sun terraces. There is also a BBQ area and plenty of outside seating. Sky TV with English channels, video and DVD with a good selection of movies and wireless internet available.
There are 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms which will comfortably sleep 14 people. There is 1 double room with 4 poster bed and en-suite bathroom. 2 family rooms, one sleeping 3 and the other sleeping 4. 1 room with 4 single beds and small room with 2 singles.
The villa is fully equipped with all bedding and towels provided. The views around the villa are breathtaking, and it is within walking distance of the pretty whitewashed village of Alora which has many shops, bars, restaurants, banks and a post office.
A mere 15 mins from the house is one of the area's natural wonders, the deep rugged canyon of the Rio Guadalhorce, known as El Chorro. Absolutely breathtaking scenery. A little beyond El Chorro are 3 stunningly beautiful lakes bordered by pine forests. A tranquil retreat where you can swim or fish, or hire a pedalo from the lake shore. There are a selection of restaurants, some offering fantastic views.
Just a 30 min drive from the house, in the picturesque village of Carratraca is the 5-star Carratraca Spa, part of the Ritz-Carlton group and offering ‘serene settings for relaxation and renewal. The historic town of Antequera is a 40 min drive from the house - Malaga and the Costa del Sol may be less than 45 minutes drive away to the south, but the unique town of Antequera feels a world away from the excesses of the kiss-me-quick coast, and provides one of the regions historical and architectural showpieces. If you venture to Antequera you really ought to take time to visit El Torcal and experience its pre-historic atmosphere, created by mountains that have been gnarled, serrated, splintered and fractured over 150 million years to create weird shaped rock formations.
A BBQ, a moonlit walk, and howling wolves! About 35 mins from the house, on the road to Antequera, is this fascinating place, Lobo Park. Run by wolf lover, Daniel, and his team this unspoilt wildlife park is home to 4 types of wolves - European, Timber, the rare White Alaska Tundra wolves and Iberian wolves. One of the most fun things to do is go on on a ‘howl night’! The amazing cities of Granada, Seville and Cordoba are each about a 2-hour drive from the house and each one is truly worth an early start for a captivating day trip.
