Holiday Rental Apartment Description
Le Cret is a 4 double bedroom apartment in a private chalet situated in a quiet location a few minutes walk to the shops and town centre. There are 2 extra single beds on the mezzanines - no bunk beds or sofa beds. The apartment sleeps up to 8 adults and 2 children comfortably - perfect for a group or two families.
Luxuriously refurbished and tastefully decorated, the apartment is fully equipped with everything you could need for a wonderful self-catering summer holiday. The wooden beds are bespoke built from managed forests with organic pocket sprung extra-deep mattresses. The bed linen is organic cotton and the pillows and duvets are hypoallergenic down & feather. There are two bathrooms and three WCs, tiled in natural stone and marble. All the bedrooms have balconies, and are only overlooked by the mountains.
Haute Nendaz sits on a beautiful sunny plateau 1500m above the Rhone Valley. Geneva airport is a 90 minute drive or picturesque train journey away. Transformed in the summer the market town is a thriving community with many bars, several supermarkets selling fresh local produce and wine, clothing shops, bakeries and excellent restaurants. There are festivals during the summer months, including an alpenhorn competition.
Nendaz is safe, relaxed, and prides itself on being family-friendly with exceptional facilities. Walking, tennis, swimming in the large heated outdoor pool, paragliding, horse riding and mountain biking are just some of the attractions. There are 100km of well marked gentle 'bisse paths' - ancient waterways linking the high mountain villages - perfect for all ages. Several of the bisse carry water, and some of the most beautiful run through Haute Nendaz.
The telecabine and lift systems across the entire region run between late June and September for around £6 per day, and bikes can be carried free.
The summer temperatures can reach 30C, but are tempered by the altitude and cool mountain breezes.
In winter the chalet is perfectly placed to ski the local Printze area; Nendaz, Siviez, Thyon, Veysonnaz, and across to Verbier via Tortin. 8 sets of Tubbs Wilderness snow-shoe kits are also available for our guests. The large Nendaz telecabine takes 8 minutes to reach Tracouet at 2200m.
