Holiday Rental Apartment Description
Minho is the green region of Portugal and this Atlantic coastline is commonly known as the 'Green Coast'. And with good reason since this is a beautiful and verdant part of Europe blessed with warm trade winds from the south. Spain and Portugal have always been at their most neighbourly here and so there is a frontier feel to this part of the world with a mixture of language, culture and cuisine. This is a wealthy area of Portugal with a good mix of the old and the new and yet a timeless feeling prevails. At night the streets buzz with the excitement and contentment that comes with the end of the day, a day probably spent by the sea or on the river, full of activity and surprise. Then cap it all with drinks and a meal by the fountain in the square before retiring to the quiet and privacy of the apartment.
The apartment is decorated and furnished to a high standard with all white goods including dishwasher, laundry facilities, towels and linen provided, satellite TV and DVD player and secure parking.The flat is on the second floor accessible by elevator or stairs. The balcony overlooks the village and has a small BBQ perfect for evening grills whilst around the corner lies the Minho River, perfect for walking along in the summer evenings.
The apartment is centrally heated so visits even in winter are comfortable. In summer the average temperature will be around 30 Degrees and 10 to 15 in the winter although as you go inland it becomes warmer in the summer and colder in the winter giving the opportunity to snowboard and ski in the Serra d'Estrella region inland.This is truly a wonderful part of Europe and deserves to be seen!
